THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's soccer team (4-11-2, 1-8-2 SCAC) wraps up the final two matches of the regular season this week. On Thursday, the Crusaders are in non-conference action with Texas A&M-Texarkana at 4 p.m. Prior to that match, senior Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) will be recognize as part of "Senior Day." On October 30, Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play is concluded with No. 3 Trinity University at 1 p.m.

Dallas is coming off a 3-0 setback at Centenary College. Prior to that, the Crusaders had earned back-to-back draws in league action at Texas Lutheran University and Austin College.


UD NOTES

- Chelsea Reeh (Boerne, Texas) leads the squad in most offensive categories. This includes goals (8), points (16), shots (58), and shots on goal (36). Two of her goals have been game winners.

- Reeh's record-breaking performance at Southwestern Adventist University last week earned her a nomination for Hero of the Week. Fans can here until Friday.

- Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.) has scored three goals and dished two assists for eight points. She is second on the team with 47 shots and 27 shots on frame.

- Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) leads the team in assists with three.

- Elena Nacarri (Covington, La.) has logged 15 starts and accumulated 1,097:45 minutes.

UD SEASON STATS


SCOUTING THE EAGLES

Texas A&M-Texarkana (10-6) dropped a 2-0 decision last Saturday at University of Houston-Victoria. Prior to that match a week ago from that point, the Eagles won 2-1 at Huston-Tillotson University. The trip in Irving concludes a three-match road stint. The Eagles are 3-3 in away contests. The Eagles are a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and play in the Red River Athletic Conference.

Samantha Sharpnack-Isom headlines the offense with 16 goals and 34 points. Arika Elliott has amassed over 10 points with a team-high nine assists and three goals. Gabriella Flores has produced most of the time between the posts with 945 minutes in 11 starts. She has 55 saves. Ellie Kemins has also made three starts and not allowed a goal in 211:08 minutes.

Texas A&M-Texarkana Season Stats

Last season in the inaugural matchup between these programs, Texas A&M-Texarkana prevailed 2-0 with both goals in the opening half.


SCOUTING THE TIGERS

Trinity (16-0, 10-0 SCAC) holds steady at number three ranked according to the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. The Tigers clinched the regular season conference championship and will be the top seed after road victories at Southwestern University (3-1) and Texas Lutheran University (3-0) last weekend. The four-game road trip ends with a Friday match at Schreiner University before the tilt at Crusader Field Sunday.

Trinity's offense has compiled 75 goals and surrendered four all season. The scoring leaders on the squad, Yasmeen Farra (11) and Julia Camp (10) are among the top two spots in the conference. Camp has contributed seven assists to own the team-lead in points with 27. Farra is one point behind, and Brigitte Taylor has also surpassed 20 points with a team-leading nine helpers and six goals. Janie Thompson (739:45) and Kalli Douma (705:59) have shared time in the goalkeeper position this year. Douma has nabbed the majority of saves with 12-of-16 by the duo.

Trinity Season Stats

Dallas was topped 5-0 in an earlier meeting this season at San Antonio. After an own goal in the first half, the Tigers pulled away in the second stanza. Last season, the Crusaders were blanked 3-0 at home, withstanding the eventual SCAC Tournament Champions' early goal before two later ones extended the margin. Naccari made 11 saves in that complete game effort.


UP NEXT

Dallas will be searching for at least a tie on Sunday to gain at least one point in the standings. Currently UD is tied with Austin College for the last spot and the 'Roos hold the tiebreak. A loss for AC on Friday at home versus Centenary and a tie or win by Dallas on Sunday would lift UD into the sixth and final spot of the SCAC Tournament November 4-6.
