THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's soccer team (2-7, 0-4 SCAC) welcomes Austin College on Friday, September 30 and Centenary College on October 2. Dallas is seeking its first conference victory this season and has dropped the past five. Last weekend, UD dropped a 5-0 contest to Southwestern University and 2-0 match to Texas Lutheran University.

The Crusaders have hit the halfway mark of their campaign and will be at the midway point after this weekend in conference play.


UD NOTES

- Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.) leads the team with two goals and is tied with Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) in points with four. Duran has totaled 15 of her 17 shots in her freshman season at the home confines, including six last weekend.

- Duran's 17 shots slot her second behind Chelsea Reeh (Boerne, Texas) with 23 shots. Cosgrove rounds out the top trio in double figure shot attempts.

- Cosgrove has dialed 11 of her 12 shots on frame.

- Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) has 36 saves (3rd in SCAC) in 667:07 minutes in the goal. Olivia Severson (La Crosse, Wis.) started last Sunday and claimed eight saves against 10 shots faced.

UD SEASON STATS


SCOUTING THE 'ROOS

Austin College (2-6-1, 0-4-1 SCAC) has dropped the past three matches and have been held scoreless in the previous four against league foes. The most recent game was a 2-0 final at home with Schreiner University. AC is 1-2-1 on the road this year.

Ashley Rice is the lone player with more than a goal and has two. Both UD and the 'Roos each have six goals on the season. Erin Eckart has dished three of the squad's four assists She is tied for fourth in the conference. Laura McGee has played all 850 minutes, including two double overtime matches, between the posts. She leads the league with 73 saves to with a 76.8 save percentage. McGee has pitched three shutouts, including two wins, all in consecutive outings.

Austin College Season Stats

Dallas is 12-16-3 in the overall series against the 'Roos. This includes a 1-0-1 mark in 2015. At Crusader Field, the teams traded goals in the last 13 minutes of regulation. Naccari made four saves in 110 minutes. Sydney Stirling (McLean, Va.), Deitschel, and Mayer had three of the team's five shots on goal.

SCOUTING THE LADIES

Centenary (5-4, 2-3 SCAC) split last weekend at home, blanking Schreiner University 3-0 before falling 7-0 top 5 ranked Trinity University. The Ladies are 2-3 on the road including a pair of setbacks against conference opponents.

Headlining the offense for the Maroon and White is KatiJayde Cunningham with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. She ranks atop in those categories along with 32 shots and 22 shots on goal. Cunningham is tied for the conference lead in goals and second in points. Four goals have been game winners. A quartet of players have two goals: Taylor Morgan, Serena Gallegos, Marissa Hughes, and Connor Harwood. Gallegos and Hughes both have a pair of assists for six points. Erica Coker is second in the SCAC with 49 saves and a 86 save percentage through 515:31 minutes in the goal.

Centenary Season Stats

Dallas is 6-2 in the all-time series. The Crusaders own a 4-0 mark at the friendly confines since the programs began playing in 2012. Dallas posted a 3-0 victory at home last season. Cosgrove and Samantha Deitschel (San Antonio, Texas) scored goals out of the returners back this season. Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) added an assist as Naccari made three saves in the shutout.

The UD Student section is encouraging fans to wear blue on Friday for the "Blueout" match.
