THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's soccer team (1-2) continues a three-game home stand on Friday, September 9 versus Millsaps College. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. The weekend concludes on Sunday with a 12 p.m. tilt versus Hendrix College. Dallas is 1-1 at Crusader Field this year and coming off a 4-1 victory on Monday against McMurry University.


UD NOTES

- Four Crusaders broke into the scoring column, two for their first of careers. Junior Mackenzie Vasile (San Antonio, Texas), Sophomore Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.), and freshmen Miranda Lozano (Richardson, Texas) and Kate Vidimos (Bedford, Texas) all netted goals.

- Other first time Crusaders to notch points were freshmen Gaby Gonzalez (McAllen, Texas) and Victoria Salazar (Grand Terrace, Calif.).

- Cosgrove paces Dallas with three points, and is tied with freshman Chelsea Reeh (Boerne, Texas) with 10 shots on goal. The duo both are in double figures for shots with Reeh (14) leading and Cosgrove (11) right behind.

- Junior Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) has allowed three goals in three matches started to go with 12 saves She has totaled 225 minutes between the posts.

SCOUTING MILLSAPS COLLEGE

The Majors (0-1-1) still are seeking their first win of the young 2016 season. After being blanked 4-0 by Delta State University in the opener, Millsaps battled Louisiana College to a 2-2 draw last Sunday. Friday's game will be the Majors first road contest this fall.

MC's Molly Ambrose is responsible for both of the team's scoring results. Her second goal occurred on a penalty kick. Olivia Gattuso has combined for 197:18 minutes in the goalkeeper position and notched nine saves overall.

Millsaps College Season Stats

Dallas is 7-5 in the all-time series against the Majors. The most recent meeting between these programs was in 2012 at Irving, Texas. UD won 7-2 with a four-goal opening half.


SCOUTING HENDRIX COLLEGE

The Warriors (3-0) are unblemished this fall, and have compiled 11 goals so far. The most recent game reflected a little over half of that total in a 6-1 triumph over University of Ozarks on Tuesday. Hendrix has yet to go on the road until this weekend, but also picked up a pair of single-goal wins against No.22 (at the time) University of Texas at Tyler (2-1) and Fontbonne University (3-2). The Warriors will play at University of Texas A&M-Texarkana on Friday, before traveling over to Irving, Texas.

Macie Stultz and Evie Cannon both placed a pair of goals in the back of the net in the last game to propel them atop of the team leaderboard in season goals with three each. Cannon has a pair of assists to lift her to a team-high eight points. Jordan Rausch has 19 saves on the season with 258:19 minutes logged.

Hendrix College Season Stats

Dallas is 14-7 overall against the Warriors. These programs last met in 2011 at Conway, Arkansas, with Hendrix prevailing 3-1. The same teams did face off in 2010 at Crusader Field, and UD was on the winning side by the same score in that match.

Dallas plays its next 12 matches against SCAC opponents. First up is a pair of road matches beginning on Sept. 16 at Schreiner University at 4 p.m. and Sept. 18 at Trinity University with a 2 p.m. start.
