2015 Season in Review for Women's Soccer

The University of Dallas women's soccer team posted a 6-13-2 record overall and was 4-7-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) this fall. Dallas would finish fifth in the league and did host the tournament at Crusaders Field. Battling the fourth seeded Southwestern University to a 0-0 tie, it was the Pirates that advanced by going 5-3 in the shootout.


NOTABLE MOMENTS

- Sophomore Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) highlighted the UD defense, which played in six shutouts and five shutout victories, by capturing SCAC Defensive Player-of-the-Year Honors. She compiled 137 saves (2nd in SCAC) with a 77.8 save percentage and 1.94 goals allowed in 1,811:53 minutes.

- Dallas would win for the first time this season in a 4-1 match at Mills College (CA) with its second highest scoring total of four goals. The highest team total was a 5-0 victory on "Senior Day" versus Sul Ross State University.

- Freshman Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) paced the Lady Crusaders with nine points by totaling three goals with three assists.

- Senior Abigale Weisbrod (Mesquite, Texas) and freshman Kathryn Zepeda (Lynnwood, Wash.) each tied the squad with three goals to join Cosgrove for the team-most.

- Weisbrod would tally one of her netters for the game-winner in a 1-0 final at Austin College to secure the team's birth in the postseason in the 82nd minute. Fellow teammate Mariah Fairbanks (Rocklin, Calif.) teamed up with the assist – her first of the campaign.
