SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team (8-8-2, 6-4-1 SCAC) dropped a 7-0 match at No. 2 Trinity University 17-0-1, (11-0 SCAC) on Sunday afternoon.

Dallas could not halt a five-goal second half as the visitors ended the weekend in sole possession in third place. The nationally ranked Tigers remained unblemished in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action, and on the campaign.

Trinity's Emily Jorgens put the home squad on the board three minutes into regulation, on an unassisted netter. At the 11:56 minute mark, Maggie Olvera doubled the edge on a scoring sequence set up by Kelsey Falcone.

After that Dallas locked down the top ten ranked opponent on the road, remaining in the contest heading into intermission down 2-0.

TU would open the scoring in the final frame, producing goals throughout to post a lengthy deficit on the navy and white.

Olvera added a goal and assist to match a team-high, five points, along with Jorgens. Dallas was outshot 25-3, and 17-2 in the shots on goal category.

Senior forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas), junior defender Rebecca Brunter (Los Alamitos, Calif.) and freshman midfielder Alice Nelson (Jackson, Tenn.) tallied shots for the Lady Crusaders.

Freshman goalkeeper Elena Naccari (Richmond, Texas) suffered the setback while turning away nine shots on goal through an entire contest.
