SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team (7-6, 5-2 SCAC) was defeated at Texas Lutheran University (6-7-1, 5-3 SCAC) on Sunday.

Dallas ended a season-best, five-match winning streak following the setback, and split the season series, 1-1, against the Bulldogs. The Lady Crusaders triumphed 2-1 a week ago in Irving, Dallas, over Texas Lutheran.

TLU began the scoring in the first half, building a 1-0 edge heading into intermission. Zoe Gulick connected on her second netter of the campaign off a corner kick from Sioned Kirkpatrick.

This sequence developed at the 14:14 minute mark and would be plenty to top the navy and white. Dallas was outshot 22-5 in the contest.

In the second frame, the Lady Crusaders did muster five shots, trailing the home squad by one attempt. However, two more goals would complete the win for the Bulldogs.

The first of the pair of second half scores occurred early on at the 47:35 mark as Kilpatrick added to her game-high, three points with the sixth goal of the season.

Wrapping up the trio of netters for TLU was Kelly Lochte in the 74th minute.

Sophomore midfielder Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii), Friday's hero in the overtime victory as Schreiner, boasted a team-best, three shots in the match placing one on goal. Senior defender Kayla Nguyen (Olathe, Kan.) came off the bench and posted a perfect shot on goal percentage going one-for-one.

Freshman goalkeeper Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) drew the start and allowed three goals while picking up 12 saves in 90 minutes. The keeper also faced 22 shots from the home team.
