SHREVEPORT, La. – The University of Dallas women's soccer team (4-5, 2-1 SCAC) got contributions from several players in a 3-0 victory at Centenary College of Louisiana (1-8, 0-3 SCAC) on Friday.

A trio of Lady Crusaders found the back of the net, all garnering their first goals and points of the campaign. This unit included freshman midfielder Alice Nelson (Jackson, Tenn.), senior defender Kayla Nguyen (Olathe, Kan.), and freshman midfielder Mackenzie Vasile (San Antonio, Texas).

Vasile's and Nguyen each came off the bench, and helped secure the first road conference win.

Dallas has won two of the last three matches and tied a season-best, three goals for the second time in the year.

Nelson got the navy and white on the board at the 28:19 minute mark. It was one of two shots on goal for the rookie, as she tallied her first collegiate goal.

The scoreboard remained 1-0 in favor of Dallas heading into intermission.

Early in the second half, the Lady Crusader's doubled their edge with a goal from Nguyen in the 54th minute. Her first goal of the year occurred off a pass from junior forward Mariah Fairbanks (Rocklin, Calif.).

Concluding the big night for Dallas was Vasile's first collegiate netter coming off a pass from freshman defender Lauren Hood (Bedford, Texas).

UD cracked the 20-shot plateau for the third time this year, kicking 21 and notching a season-high 14 shots on goal.

A quartet of players boasted multiple shots in the contest, including a game-high, seven, from senior forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas). Five were on target for the squad's leading scorer entering the match.

Freshman defender Alexa Acquista posted a season-high, four shots and two on goal for a .500 shots on goal percentage. Hood added three and Nelson went two-for-two on the night for a perfect shooting result.

Freshman goalkeeper Tori Fleharty (Richmond, Texas) (2-2) was credited with the win in 24:46 minutes of action. She relieved starting classmate goalkeeper Elena Naccari (Covington, La.), who picked up a save in 37:39 minutes.

Earning time between the posts in the latter part of the match were freshman Samantha Haeick (Las Vegas, Nev.), and junior keeper Alice Bloemer (Sterling, Mass.).

The group helped limit Centenary to six shots in the entire contest.
