ABILENE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team was blanked 4-0 on Sunday against Hardin-Simmons University. It was the first time this season the Lady Crusaders fell in consecutive match-ups (2-3).

A quartet of goals in the opening half were plenty for the Cowgirls who piled on 27 shots in the victory as they improved on their overall record (4-1).

Junior defender Rebecca Brunter (Los Alamitos, Calif.) tallied the lone shot for the navy and white in the second frame.

Stepping in between the posts for Dallas was freshman goalkeeper Tori Fleharity (Richmond, Texas). In the match, she allowed all four goals, but also pulled down 6 saves while facing a shot total over 20 for the third time during the campaign.

Next Opponents:

Dallas enjoys its lengthiest home stand with a three-match stretch beginning Tuesday, Sept. 16 versus University of Texas-Tyler. The non-conference contest is set for 5 p.m.

This past weekend, the Lady Patriots dropped a 2-1 thriller at home to No. 2 Trinity University. Texas-Tyler moved above .500 (2-1) with a 3-0 shutout over another Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponent in Southwestern University.

Due to a weather cancellation, the conference opener for the Lady Crusaders is expected to begin Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. following the Men's Soccer match-up. Southwestern University prepares to meet the navy and white on the pitch for that one.

The black and gold (0-6-1) are coming off consecutive shutouts at University of Texas-Dallas and Texas-Tyler to begin a four-game road trip.

The span of home games concludes Sept. 21 against No. 2 Trinity University.  TU enters following consecutive 2-1 affairs, including an overtime triumph in the latest match at Texas-Dallas. The undefeated Lady Tigers (4-0-1) play Austin College in the conference opener on Friday prior to Sunday's tilt.
