IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team fell 5-0 on Tuesday evening to the University of Texas-Tyler. It was the Lady Crusaders third-straight setback (2-4) while the Patriots improved their record with consecutive shutouts (3-1).

In the first half, Dallas prevented six shot on goal attempts, but the visiting squad managed three goals thanks to 18 shot attempts. UD countered with seven shots in the next frame, but wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.

Freshman goalkeeper Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) earned her first start of the season. In the debut, Naccari was two saves shy of the highest total set in the season-opener after picking up 12.

A trio of players recorded multi-shot games for the navy and white. Freshmen midfielders Taylor Ray (Cypress, Texas) and Kayla Glenn (Chandler, Ariz.) tallied two apiece. Nguyen and Ray placed half of those attempts on target. Rounding out the group was senior defender Kayla Nguyen (Olathe, Kan.).

The home squad did produce four shots on goal in this match with freshmen midfielders Sydney Stirling (McLean, Va.) and Alice Nelson (Jackson, Tenn.) adding the other ones. This duo was perfect for their shots on goal percentage.
