BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. - The University of Dallas women's soccer team (2-1) earned a road victory at the University of St. Mary (0-4) following a 3-1 final on Saturday.

It was the second win in a row for the Lady Crusaders, as senior forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas) produced a team-high two goals. She also boasted a season-best eight shots, placing four on target for a .500 shot on goal percentage.

Sophomore midfielder Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) got UD on the board at the 27:24 minute mark off an assist from freshman midfielder Taylor Ray (Cypress, Texas). The goal was Mayer's first of the season.

A couple minutes later, Johnson's first netter of the contest doubled the road team's advantage.

Ellen Farris scored for the Spires at the 35:06 mark to cut into the navy and white's lead. Arcilia Gonzalez was credited with the assist. Things remained 2-1 at intermission.

In the second half, Johnson's second unassisted goal in the 56th minute would conclude the scoring and be all Dallas required to secure the match, 3-1.

The Crusaders held a 21-13 shot advantage, including a massive 16 attempts in the opening frame. A trio of players joined Johnson in multi-shot attempt games with Ray taking four, freshman midfielder Kayla Glenn (Chandler, Ariz.) with three, and junior midfielder Abigale Weisbrod (Mesquite, Texas) with two.

Freshman goalkeeper Tori Fleharty (Richmond, Texas) allowed a goal and faced eight shots on goal as she earned the win (2-1).
