IRVING, Texas - Junior forward Nicole Johnson tallied a hat-trick and an assist as the University of Dallas women's soccer team (2-2) trekked to a 9-1 victory over LeTourneau University (0-6) on Thursday evening at Crusader Field.

Johnson (Houston) opened scoring in the 20th-minute on an assist from junior defender Lindsey Jeo (McKinney, Texas).

After LeTourneau's Raylene Gould squared the affair roughly 10 minutes later, Johnson produced the game's next two goals (33:55, 38:20). Junior defender Kayla Nguyen (Olathe, Kan.) assisted on the first of these tallies, while sophomore midfielder Nohely Torres (Dallas) followed suit.

Johnson assisted sophomore forward/midfielder Mariah Fairbanks (Rocklin, Calif.) in the 50th-minute to finish with a seven-point day.

Also joining the scoring barrage for Dallas were sophomore defender/forward Rebecca Brunter (Los Alamitos, Calif.), senior midfielder Melissa Carpenter (Sugar Land, Texas), senior defender Emily Rogers (San Antonio), freshman midfielder Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) and freshman defender Mary Alexander (Lafayette, La.). Mayer also added three assists.

Senior goalkeeper Brigid Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) and sophomore Alice Bloemer (Sterling, Mass.) split time in net. Hasson picked up the win, while Bloemer made three saves in 35 minutes of playing time.
