Women's Soccer remains perfect with 3-0 triumph over LeTourneau University

LONGVIEW, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team (3-0) remains unscathed after turning in a 3-0 road performance over LeTourneau University on Tuesday evening.

It was the Claire Sexton (Salem, Va.) and Marin Chambers (Anchorage, Alaska) show, early and often, as the duo accounted for the Lady Crusaders' first two scores.

Sexton, a junior forward, provided the game-winning goal at 9:27 of the first half, before finding the net for a third time on the early season at 47:44. Both goals were assisted by Chambers, a senior midfielder.

Freshman forward Rebecca Brunter (Los Alamitos, Calif.) added to a prowess Dallas offensive attack, with a goal in the 66th-minute assisted by sophomore forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas).

The Lady Crusaders peppered the duo of LeTourneau (0-3) goalkeepers Jamie Aguillen and Nicole Kemper with 22 shots in the game, landing 14 on net.

Junior goalkeeper Brigid Hasson (Fairfax, Va.) was forced into making three-saves from LeTourneau's four total shots, and now has two shutouts on the season.

Dallas has outscored opponents 8-2 in the team's first three games, while outshooting their counterparts 47-29.

Next opponent:

Saturday, Sept. 8, will bring a red-hot Dallas to Kerrville, Texas, to combat Schreiner University. The 2 p.m. affair will mark the squad's fourth of five road games to begin the 2012 season.
