Dallas Women’s Soccer Handle Bethany College

In a Kansas versus Texas matchup on September 17 in Irving, TX, the host University of Dallas took down the Bethany College Swedes 1-0 for their third win in four games.

Freshman forward Claire Sexton (Salem, VA/Salem H.S.) scored the goal that carried the youthful squad to their third win of the short season. With approximately 10 minutes on the first half clock, Sexton's sixth goal gave UD the lead and the defense held tight the rest of the way.  Senior defender Mary Gaffney (Cascade, CO/Manitou Springs H.S.) provided the assist, her first of the year. Freshman goalkeeper Brigid Hasson (Fairfax, VA/Trinity at Meadowview) protected their goal with 7 saves.

The 3-1 women's soccer team will again have home field advantage as they face the Millsaps College Majors on Friday, September 24 at 4:00pm.
