Four Crusaders Earn All-SCAC First Team Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Following the exclusive all-conference voting by the head coaches of the SCAC, four Crusaders were selected for All-SCAC First Team honors: Gabby Dixon (MF), Sophia Haueser (A), Madeline Stephens (D), and Kathleen Rodda (GK).

Gabby Dixon was named the team's MVP at last week's end of the year Athletics Awards Banquet, leading the team with 21 points, scoring 11 goals and tallying 10 assists while also leading the team with 42 ground balls.  She finished in the top 10 in the conference in assists, third in ground balls, fourth in draw controls, and fifth in caused turnovers.

Sophia Haueser finished just outside the top 10 in the conference with her team leading 17 goals, and was second on the team with 20 points.  She was 11th in the conference in ground balls with 25, and fifth in the conference with a 53.1 shooting percentage.  Madeline Stephens earned first team honors for work defensively.  though she doesn't have the flashy stats to go with it, she routinely did the things that don't end up on the scoresheet and outworked those around her to shore up the Crusaders defense.

Kathleen Rodda finished second in the conference with 120 saves on the year as the Crusaders only goalkeeper.  Her season high mark came against Hanover on March 16when she made 16 saves, and she had a 66.7 save percentage in the Crusaders win against Spalding on March 14.
