Crusaders End Regular Season at Ogelthorpe

ATLANTA, Ga. - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team lost their final match of the regular season 20-2 vs Ogelthorpe University.

The Petrels opened the scoring three minutes in, scoring a pair of goals in quick succession to go up 2-0.  They made it 3-0 a minunte and a half later, befrore Teagan Walsh got the Crusaders on the board with an unassisted goal just over six minutes in to make it 3-1.  Ogelthorpe doubled their goal tally with three goals in a 45 second span and would extend their lead to 10-1 by the end of the first quarter.

The Crusaders defended much better the rest of the way, but they weren't able to close up all the gaps completely as the Petrels gradually built on their lead.  Sophia Haeuser scored what would be the final goal of the season for the Crusaders in the fourth quarter to make it a 19-2 game.  Ogelthrope made it 20-2 with three and half minutes left as they saw out the win.

Haeuser ends the season as the Crusaders leading goal scorer with 17 and is second on the team with 20 points.  Walsh finishes right behind with 14 goals and 19 points.  Though she did not score in the match, Gabby Dixon is Dallas' points leader with 21 (11 goals, 10 assists), ground ball leader (42), and caused turnover leader (19).
