Crusaders Bested By Panthers

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team lost their non-conference matchup with Birmingham-Southern College 25-0 on Tuesday.  They fall to a 1-4 overall record on the year.

The Panthers opened the scoring 22 seconds into the game and would double their thirty seconds later.  BSC took firm control of the game from there, leading 11-0 after one quarter.  Dallas defended well in the second quarter, keeping the Panthers out of the net for big stretches of play.  

Birmingham continued to build their lead, scoring seven goals in the third quarter and four more in the fourth quarter.

Angela Bawardi led the team with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.  kathleen Rodda faced 37 shots, making 12 saves.

The Crusaders are back in action this Friday.  They are hosting Hope College (MI) at 4:00 p.m.
