IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team lost their season opener to Calvin University 24-0 this evening.
The Knights took an early lead, opening the scoring after two and half minutes. They would make it three with two more goals in a thirty second span, and made it 9-0 after the first quarter. Calvin continued to pile on, bringing their total to 15 by the end of the half.
The Crusaders had decent stretched where they were able to stave off the Knights, but the hole was too steep to climb out of. Calvin added to their lead and saw out the big win.
Up Next
The Crusaders are back in action this Sunday against the University of St. Mary-Kansas. The game is set for a 10:00 a.m. start, with Dallas set to host.
