Parkey Tabbed SCAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

ALEX PARKEY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore midfielder from Henrietta, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 18th through February 24th.

Parkey is the second member of the Crusaders to earn a weekly accolade from the SCAC. Lexi Leite (Houston, Texas) was named Offensive Player of the Week two weeks ago for the program's first recipient of the a conference weekly honor.

Parkey won a total of 28 draw controls in two contests last week, including a program-best 22 in a loss to Oglethorpe. The sophomore also caused three turnovers against the Stormy Petrels.

Dallas (2-3) returns home on for matchups with conference foe Southwestern University on March 2 and N.C. Wesleyan on Mar. 3.
