FIRST DRAW

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team travels for the first time this season to Point University. The Crusaders will play the hosting Skyhawks on Saturday. The next day, UD will take on Oglethorpe University in a neutral site tilt. Both matches will be 1 p.m. (EST) start times. 

Dallas (2-1) fell last weekend to Westminster College (PA). The Crusaders kept the deficit to four (10-6) at halftime before allowing nine of the next 11 goals to the visitors. Lexi Leite (Houston, Texas) scored four goals to lead the Crusaders. 


THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR UD

- Leite leads the team with 17 goals and 19 points. She has placed 20 of 22 shots on cage.

- Erika Keever (Fort Worth, Texas) has contributed nine goals and 11 points. She leads the team with four free position goals and 10 draw controls.

- Emily Pauletti (Dallas, Texas), Camryn Dougherty (Drayden, Md.), and Aneliz Rios (San Diego, Calif.) round out the next group of scorers with 10 combined.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS

(Point University)

- The Skyhawks are 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play.

- The NAIA affiliated school won 19-2 over Truett-McConnell University on Tuesday.

- Point is 3-1 at the friendly confines and is 3-0 when breaking double-digits in scoring.

- A'Miracle Winters leads the offense with 11 goals. Dakota Overton and Umika Brewer have followed with 10 and nine, respectively.

- Amanda Walker and Emma Gross have split time in goal with each contributing at least 120 minutes. Walker leads with 10 saves, while Gross has stopped nine.

(Oglethorpe University)

- The Stormy Petrels are 2-1 this season.

- They prevailed 21-1 on Friday, led by Madison Goss and Audrey Mahoney with three goals apiece. 11 players found the scoring column.

- Oglethorpe has totaled 30 goals, but did allow 19 in its lone setback to Sewanee. The neutral site contest is the first away from the home field this season.

- Goss paces the offense with eight goals. Jill Czaplinski is the next highest with four.

- Zoe Geiger has played 166:06 minutes in goal and has made 14 saves.


UP NEXT

Dallas returns home for a three-game home stand starting with two next weekend on March 2 and 3. The Crusaders will host Southwestern University and N.C. Wesleyan on those respective dates.
