Women's Lacrosse Opens 2019 Season January 27; Complete Schedule Online

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team has announced its 2019 schedule. The Crusaders have an early start this year with its first contest at home on January 27 with Tarleton State University, a club program. Dallas head coach Destinee Johnson begins her third season at the helm. Her team has 16 games on the ledger, with nine at the home confines. Only three opponents faced Dallas in 2018, including two members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).

UD 2019 Schedule

The team starts with a trio of matches at Crusader Field with games versus Huntingdon College and Westminster (PA) on February 9 and 16, respectively. Those opponents will also play Southwestern University in neutral site games those same weekends.

Dallas concludes Feb. with its first road trip to Point University, where it plays the Skyhawks from the NAIA on the 23rd. The next day UD and Oglethorpe University faceoff on the neutral turf.

March features the Crusaders at home for five-of-six matches. This includes a three-game home stand with the other Texas NCAA Division III program Southwestern University on Mar. 2. The SCAC is sponsoring women's lacrosse again with four members part of the league. These two teams are included and will count this as a league match.

The rest of the home stretch will have matches versus N.C. Wesleyan as part of a back-to-back games for the second weekend in a row on Mar. 3. Cornell College is in town on Mar. 13.

Dallas breaks up the span of games at home with its lone trip of the month to Hendrix College on Mar. 17.

Another three-game stretch awaits the Crusaders to finish the home slate of the season with Willamette University (Mar. 24) and University of Wisconsin River Falls (Mar. 30).

The final home outing that projects to be Senior Day will be April 6 versus St. Edwards University.

Dallas will spend the remainder of the season in Colorado. Newest member of the SCAC, Johnson & Wales University, will host the Crusaders and Loras College on Apr. 18. The conference teams will then play on Apr. 20 for the other conference tilt on UD's schedule.

Apr. 27-28 is set to be the SCAC Tournament dates at the other member program Colorado College. All four teams will participate with the top-seeded team playing the fourth-seeded team and second-seeded team playing the third-seeded team in the semifinals. The winners will advance to the SCAC Championship the next day, while the losers play prior in a consolidation match.
