FIRST DRAW

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team continues the second half of its four-game home stand with back-to-back matches on Thursday and Friday with Aurora University (3:30 p.m.) and Hendrix College (12 p.m.).

Dallas (0-3) fell the first two outings on this home stretch, despite scoring a season-high seven goals on Tuesday.


THREE THINGS TO KNOW

- Leading scorers from last season, Lexi Leite (Houston, Texas) and Ericka Keever (Fort Worth, Texas) are back atop the leaderboard this season with 13 combined goals. The duo has scored in all matches, with Keever leading with seven goals.

- Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) leads the team with 12 groundballs. She is tied with Leite with five caused turnovers.

- UD and its opponents are even in groundballs (67) and free position attempts (13). The Crusaders have been outscored 9-4, however.

- Dallas will play Aurora for the first time in program history.

- The Crusaders are 1-2 all-time against Hendrix. Last season, they fell 15-4 in Conway. Leite had two goals, while Keever added one. The two combined for eight (4 apiece) of the team's nine shots.


A LOOK AT THE OPPONENTS

(Aurora University)

- Aurora used a 9-2 Second Half on Tuesday to clip Southwestern University 14-13.

- The victory is the first this season for Aurora, who now sits 1-2 on the road trip that started a week ago. The first five matches are away.

- The Spartans are part of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC).

- Kristina Krokosz (9) and Andrea Colford (8) are the top scorers with 17 goals combined.  

- Colford is one-of-three players with three assists. She is the team leader in points (11).


(Hendrix College)

- The Warriors bounced back after two losses to start the spring with a pair of wins. The latest was last Sunday against Berry, 16-14.

- On Thursday, Hendrix will play a neutral site match with Otterbein at Dallas. That will be the first road match of the young season.

- Opponents hold a narrow 54-51 edge in goals scored and goals scored per game (18.00-17.00).

- Reilly Frazier has amassed 10 goals to lead the team.

- Morgan Dasch boasts a team-high 21 points thanks to 12 assists that lead the squad.


UP NEXT

Dallas heads on the road for the remainder of the month. The end of the spring break features a trip to New York with matches on March 16th and 18th. The Crusaders will play SUNY Maritime and Mt. St. Vincent.
