FIRST DRAW

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team concludes the regular season with two matches on the road April 8-9. First-year head coach Destinee Johnson is hoping her squad ends the spring on a high note. Saturday's contest at Illinois Institute of Technology will begin at 5 p.m. The finale on the campaign will be the next day at 12 p.m. against Elmhurst College.

The Crusaders picked up their third victory of the campaign last Sunday at Johnson & Wales University-Denver in 10-5 fashion. Lexi Leite (Houston, Texas) and Erika Keever (Fort Worth, Texas), who are the team's top two scorers respectively; hit three-goal hat tricks and UD shutout the Wildcats for the last 31:32 minutes of the match.

UD NOTES

- Leite is the team's leading scorer with 41 goals and has exactly 50 points now on the season.

- Gwen Mohler (San Francisco, Calif.) tied the school record for most assists in an individual season with 10. Leite is right behind her with nine helpers.

- Erika Keever (Fort Worth, Texas) boasts a season-long, 11-game scoring streak. Her 25 goals rank second on the squad with a team-high nine coming off free positions. Her 22 draw controls are one above Leite as the tandem of top scorers lead in that category, too.

- Mohler has accumulated a nine-game point streak and has 23 points behind her career-high 13 goals and record-setting assists mark mentioned earlier.

- Julia Shinkle (Ewing, N.J.) is third on the team in goals (16) and rounds out a quartet of players in double figures in points (18).

- These four players mentioned above have all scored in four-of-five contests.

- Christiane Flynn (Seattle, Wash.) scored her first collegiate goal last Saturday. The freshman combined for four groundballs, two draw controls, and five caused turnovers on the most recent road trip.

- Mason Cosgrove (Las Cruces, N.M.) also delivered a personal-best performance in the team's last win. The women's soccer dual athlete came up with a trio of caused turnovers and groundballs.
