PREVIEW: Dallas at Purchase College (4/11) | College of St. Elizabeth (4/12)

THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team (3-5) travels to the Northeast to face Purchase College (8-1) on Saturday, April 11 and College of St. Elizabeth (0-8) on Apr. 12. Both contests are slated for 1 p.m. (EST) time starts.

Dallas won three of its past five games, but is still in search of its first road victory. The Navy and White are in the midst of a five-game road trip to close the campaign out.

LAST TIME OUT

A 9-3 first half was too much of a deficit for the Lady Crusaders two weeks ago at Oklahoma Baptist University. The Bison would prevail 15-5 by the final buzzer.

Scoring for Dallas offensively was senior Anne Belton (Luray, Va.) with two goals for the lone multiple goal performance. Also finding the back of the cage were: freshman Erin Chadwick (Tampa Bay, Fla.), freshman Sarah Schmitz (Huntington, N.Y.), and senior Mary Hilker (Haslett, Mich.).

LEADERBOARD

As a team, UD is averaging 8.75 goals per game, and shooting a 79 shots on goal percentage.

Chadwick paces a trio of players in double figures for scoring with 19 goals, and has scored in seven of the eight matches. She continue to flourish her rookie season debut with tops on the team with 50 shots, 39 on cage, and five assists.

Junior Hayley Rodgers (Houston, Texas) has collected a team-high 24 groundballs and has tallied 14 goals for second on the squad. Hilker rounds out the double-digit group with 11 goals.

Senior Christine Jablonsky (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has recorded 76 saves through all 468 minutes on the year.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS

Purchase College is 8-1 at home this season and prevailed 18-7 this Wednesday against the Sage Colleges.

The high powered offense is led by Zoe Hines with 42 goals and 14 assists to accumulate 56 points total. Two other Panthers have cracked over 40 points with Samantha Rich and Kelly Turtell notching the feat at 43 and 42, respectively.

PC is averaging 16.78 goals and has totaled 151 overall.

The programs have never met on the field.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES

College of St. Elizabeth has dropped its last eight games in a row, and are in search of the first victory of the spring. CSE has only played once at the home confines with the most recent setback to Medaille College being the opener. The final was 19-2.

Prior to Sunday's contest, the Eagles will host SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Saturday to complete a stretch of three-straight home affairs.

Offensively Kiana Cunningham leads the way with four goals. Kassandra Ortiz has posted three netters, while a trio of players have landed two each. Ashley Morera, Riley Hosey, and Jessica Nunez round out the unit.

Dallas last played in Morristown, New Jersey, on April 15, 2011 and defeated College of St. Elizabeth 15-5.
