THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team (2-4) wraps up a season-long, six game home stand on Sunday, March 22 versus University of North Texas. Dallas is 2-3 at Irving, Texas, this campaign.

North Texas women's lacrosse is affiliated as a club program, and will play on Crusader Field for the first time in history, as the squad's meet at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT

Dallas ended a string of consecutive wins with its second, two-goal setback this season by an 8-6 result. Olivet College was the visitors on Thursday, and broke a 4-all halftime score about 10 minutes into the contest.

OC never trailed the rest of the way, despite junior Hayley Rodgers (Houston, Texas) posting a pair of goals in a game she claimed a hat trick for the Lady Crusaders.

Freshman Erin Chadwick (Tampa Bay, Fla.) hit her fourth multiple scoring affair in her debut season, which matched the stretch of games the attacker has scored.

Notching the big historical marker was senior Christine Jablonsky (Colorado Springs, Colo.) etching her name at the top of the saves career leader category with 360 overall. Jablonsky nabbed 12 in the game, and broke the mark with a stop just over five minutes into the second stanza.

LEADERBOARD

Rodgers and Chadwick have provided most of the scoring punch for the Navy and White with 11 goals apiece. Chadwick carries the team-high 14 points with three assists. Rodgers is right behind with 12 to round out the double figure scorers and point gatherers.

Senior Mary Hilker (Haslett, Mich.) boasts eight netters, combining for seven in the last three. In the pair of outings, Hilker tallied consecutive hat tricks, and fired a season-high, four goals.

Rodgers has picked up 17 ground balls, while freshman Patty Hahn (Plano, Texas) and Chadwick round out the top trio with 15 apiece. Fellow classmate Sarah Schmitz (Huntington, N.Y.) is the other player to dish out more than one assist, with two.

CLOSING OUT THE HOME STRETCH

The home stretch also represented the entire portion of the ledger that would be taking place on Crusader Field. UD has not been away from the home confines since the season-opener on Feb. 8. After Sunday, the Navy and White will close the campaign on a five-game road streak.

SENIOR FAREWELL

Prior to the contest, the Dallas women's lacrosse program will acknowledge a quintet of players that expect to graduate beyond this season. Included in that group are: Anne Belton (Luray, Va.), Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wis.), Anita Villalpando (Baytown, Texas), Hilker, and Jablonsky.
