THE LEAD

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team (1-3) continues its season-long, six-game home stand on March 15 versus Benedictine University (0-4) at 2 p.m.

All six of UD's home affairs are in a row, with the fourth of the stretch being played on Sunday.

MOST RECENT ACTION

Dallas picked up its first win of the campaign on Sunday versus Cornell College in a 16-2 decision. The day prior to that, the Lady Crusaders were topped 8-6 by Oklahoma Baptist University.

In the victory, UD poured the most goals as a unit since April 17, 2011 when it matched the total 16-9 over Notre Dame. The Navy and White raced to a 12-0 edge in the first half, and would have seven players find the back of the cage.

Freshman Erin Chadwick (Tampa Bay, Fla.) led the outburst with four goals and 10 shots, each counting towards a career most. Also netting hat tricks were junior Hayley Rodgers (Houston, Texas) and senior Mary Hilker (Haslett, Mich.)

Before the double figure performance, Dallas mustered a season-high six goals against the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist, but could not overcome a 7-3 intermission deficit.

Senior Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wis.) and Chadwick each notched a pair of goals. In the goalkeeper position, senior Christine Jablonsky (Colorado Springs, Colo.) garnered a season-best 13 saves.

QUICK NOTES

Dallas is shooting a .705 shots on goal percentage (sog) and is averaging 6.25 scoring results a contest. Chadwick has been torching opponents the last two games with six of her team-leading seven goals occurring in them.

Her rookie campaign also is highlighted by eight points, 20 shot shots (.750 sog%), and 12 ground balls to pace the squad in each category.

Rodgers and Hilker are second on the team with four goals and have respectively etched five and four points. The duo notched hat tricks in last Sunday's contest and have scored all their goals at Crusader Field.

Falconer has chipped in three netters and has placed all four shot attempts on the target for a perfect sog percentage clip.

Jablonsky (1-3) has suited up and played all 228 minutes between the pipes and has amassed 46 saves while facing 109 shots.

SCOUTING BENEDICTINE

The Eagles are seeking their first victory of the season, and have dropped the first four game so far. The latest setback was a 17-4 result at Kalamazoo College. It was the fewest amount of goals the opposition has posted in the early schedule.

BenU is in the midst of a five-game road stretch that featured a postponed affair on Thursday at DePauw University. Benedictine is 0-1 so far on the trip.

Offensively, Benedictine is led by Samantha Link with 12 goals, 23 of 26 shots on goal. Becca Gullett, Gabby Rowe, and Jasmine Moreno have tallied five, four, and three netters, respectively.

Sunday will mark the first meeting on the pitch between the programs. Benedictine is a member of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC).

UP NEXT

Dallas wraps up the remaining portion of its home stand throughout next week. On March 19, the Lady Crusaders welcome Olivet College at 4 p.m.

On March 22, University of North Texas will travel from Denton, Texas, for a 2 p.m. start time. The contest will also be Senior Day for five athletes on the women's lacrosse squad.
