UD Women's Golf Concludes Schreiner Spring Shootout

KERRVILLE, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf duo Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas) and Emma Christiansen (West Haven, Utah) competed individually for the University of Dallas women's golf team in the second round of the Schreiner Spring Shootout on Tuesday.

After the conclusion of the second round, Kirby and Christiansen finished with scores of 191 and 195 to place 43rd and 45th, respectively.

The University of Texas at Dallas had the best team score for the tournament with a 656. Trinity University had the best score from any team in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and ended in second place with a score of 658.

UTD's Karen Alvarez won the tournament individually with a low score of 154. Trinity Le from the St. Thomas University was the lowest score of anyone from the SCAC with a 159 which was good for a third place tie.

The Crusaders will be back in action next weekend on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21. UD will compete in the Texas Cup in Plano Texas hosted by UTD.
