Women's Golf Reveals 2020 Schedule
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's golf team has released its 2020 spring schedule. UD will be led by fourth year head coach Garett Smith in its inaugural seaspn in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). This spring will mark the first season that the women's golf team will be able to compete as a team at the conference championships held in April. Last year was the first year that this program was sponsored as an NCAA Division III sport.
Dallas gets the spring started at the SCAC Preview held at Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas, on Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd. The following week (Mar. 9-10) UD will compete in the Schreiner Spring Shootout at the Comanche Trace Golf Club in Kerrville, Texas.
After a short break Dallas will participate in the Texas Cup in Plano, Texas, on March 21-22 in a tournament hosted by UT-Dallas. The Crusaders will then have a month to practice and prepare for the SCAC Championships held once again in Blanco, Texas, on April 20-21. Dallas competed in four matches in the fall to gear itself up for the spring slate.
This year's roster will be represented by three freshmen, Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah), Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas), and Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas). Sophomore Tiffany Han (Walnut, Calif.) competed in the fall, but will be in Rome this spring semester.
