Dallas Finished the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Tuesday

SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women's golf team finished the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Tuesday by completing the second and final round. UD finished in 10th place but made a 30-stroke improvement from Monday's round. Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas) topped the Dallas foursome by carding a 181 (98, 83) cutting down 15 strokes. Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas) also had a big improvement on the final 18 holes after shooting a 184 (97, 87) for the Crusaders.

Richardson started the round in a tie for 44th position but jumped herself up to take 37th individually. Kirby improved four spots to place herself in a tie for 38th.  Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah) and Tiffany Han (Walnut, Calif.) both improved in the final round to secure momentum heading into next week's tournament at Rockwind Links Golf Club.

Richardson led Dallas with two birdies at the tournament.

Karen Alvarez (Univ. of Texas at Dallas) won the tournament after shooting a 150 (73, 77). Summer Swift (Texas Lutheran Univ.) finished second with a 150 (74, 76) after forcing a two-person playoff and ultimately finished as the tournament runner-up after a scorecard playoff.

Emily Campbell (Southwestern Univ.) rounded out the top three after carding a 152.

Southwestern University took first place with a 616 (306, 310). University of Texas at Dallas came in second with a 632 (315, 317), while UC Santa Cruz gathered third with a 652 (322, 330).

Dallas will prepare for the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate in Hobbs, New Mexico next Sunday and Monday.
