Sullivan and Hardin Lead The Way in Victory over Arlington Baptist

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team won their non-conference game with Arlington Baptist 82-75 this afternoon.  They pick up their fifth win of the year to improve to 5-10 on the season.

For nearly the entire contest, you could hardly separate the two sides, though the Crusaders had the narrow edge for much of the game.  But there was one metric in which Dallas was the clear superior, and that was on the glass as they outrebounded the Patriots 57-43.  It was by their rebounding superiority that they were also able to score 24 second chance points, compared to just 11 for Arlington.  Leading this charge was Imani Hardin, who had her second straight game with 20+ rebounds, snagging 21 tonight after her 20 rebound performance last night against Southwestern.

Going into the fourth quarter, it was still anybody's game, but the Crusaders found their groove late to put some daylight in between themselves and the Patriots, leading by as many as nine points in the final two minutes.  This was thanks in no small part to Alyssa Sullivan, who came up clutch for Dallas, playing all 10 minutes and scoring eight points en route to a season-high and team-leading 17 points on the night.

Hardin also scored 13 points on the night for her second straight double-double.  Canai McPherson also had 13 points, and Adryan Alvarez had 11.  The Crusaders also had a solid performance from the bench, as they combined for 19 points and 12 rebounds.
