The Crusaders (4-6, 4-6 SCAC) will take on the second seed Colorado College, which this is the third straight matchup between these programs. UD split in Colorado Springs a weekend ago, which helped spoil the Tigers bid for the top seed in the bracket. Each game was a blowout too, with Colorado College winning 91-65 (Box Score) on Saturday and UD returning the favor with a 79-61 (Box Score) result.

In her second season as the head coach, Bri Calver led Dallas to its first tournament appearance since Greta Grothe guided the 2016-17 squad. That group was edged 58-54 by the number three seed in the bracket.

Dallas has one veteran on its squad that has played in a conference tournament, and that is Amber Turner (Rogers, Ark.), is now a graduate student. Next up on experience is Beyonce Perry (Lake Jackson, Texas), who is a sophomore. Otherwise UD has six freshmen in its rotation.

Camille Fowler (Helotes, Texas) is the top scorer with 94 points and 10.4 points average for leading the team. Though she is not lonely up there with Alyssa Sullivan (Wylie, Texas) follows with 93 points, and Turner has 91 to round out the trio. Perry is quietly crept up with 85 points and had a double-digit points total in all four outings in February. Imani Hardin (Helotes, Texas) is the impact player down low with 86. UD loves the three-point range with 73 makes. A quintet of Crusaders have knocked down at least 11. Anika Herron (Coppell, Texas) was sizzling from downtown in the mountain high state with 16 and 18, respective, point totals. She combined for nine treys and raised her total to 13.

The Tigers (6-2, 6-2 SCAC) dropped both games at home this season to go 2-2 at Reid Arena. Their other setback was to Southwestern University. They are led by McKenzee Gertz with 13.9 points and 64 rebounds. Rosie Braley is technically the leader on the glass with one more rebound at 65. Anna Fanelli (11.4), Audrey Bayston (11.4), and Braley (10.3).

A season ago, CC was edged by a point (74-73) to Southwestern in the quarterfinals. Dallas is 11-12 all-time against the Tigers since 2010. A live stream will be available here. There should also be livestats online as well.
