Where Are They Now: HOF Gribnitz Instructs Athletics in Frisco ISD

Janet Gribnitz now works in Frisco ISD at Clark Middle School. She works with 7th grade B&C volleyball and cross country, women's soccer as a head coach, and track as an assistant coach.

Gribnitz was inducted into the University of Dallas Athletics Hall of Fame in 2000 for women's basketball and track and field.

Gribnitz played basketball at the Dallas in 1992-93 and 1993-94.  She was a NAIA All-American and Academic All-American both years and a Kodak All-American in 1993-94.  She was the leading scorer in the country in 1992-93 with 25.9 points per game.  She was the Texas intercollegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year both years. 

She set the following NAIA game records: most points 60; most 3 point field goals 13; most field goals 18; most free throws 22; and the career mark for points per game 27.2.  In addition she holds school records for assists in a game 12; season records for field goals, 3 point field goals, free throws, points, assists, steals, and points per game. She holds career marks for 3 point field goals, points per game, and steals per game.  She also ran track in 1994 and set school records in the 400 meter relay, 800 meter relay and 1600 meter relay at the time.
