OPENING TIP

The University of Dallas women's basketball team prepares for its final pair of games at the Maher Center. On Friday, the Crusaders host No. 20 Trinity University around 7:30 p.m. and Schreiner University on Sunday around 2 p.m. Both tips follow the men's hoops.

Dallas completed a 1-3 road trip last weekend with two setbacks. The Crusaders dropped contests at Centenary College and Austin College. Vanessa Diaz (San Antonio, Texas) poured a personal-best 23 points in the Centenary game, while Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) scored double figures in both outings.

The Crusaders (8-14, 2-9 SCAC) are 5-6 at the home confines this season, but have dropped the last three games in Irving to opponents in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).
