Overall, the Crusaders are 8-7 with their first victory of 2017 occurring on Saturday against Centenary College, 72-64. Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) broke personal highs in points with 34 and field goals with 13. Her 15 rebounds helped secure at least 500 in her third season.

UD NOTES

- DeCoud remains first in the conference with 11.1 rebounds per game. Additionally the forward has improved to second in the league by averaging 15.4 points-per-game (ppg). She is shooting 50.5 percent from the field and that ranks her 4th in the SCAC.

- DeCoud enters the latest NCAA Division III rankings tied 19th in blocked shots (40).

- Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) is the other UD player averaging double figures with 13.9 points.

- Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) recently broke 300 assists in her career last Friday at Austin College. Her pair of contests with seven assists each lifted the league leader to 75. Tonry has dished at least seven dimes in six games this campaign. The guard also reached exactly 300 in rebounds in her career.

- Caitlyn Worry (Lumberton, Texas) matched a personal high four made three-point field goals last outing to help tie a career-most 14 points. She leads the squad in successful treys (24).

UD SEASON STATS

SCOUTING DALLAS CHRISTIAN

Dallas Christian is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). The Crusaders will play fellow SCAC opponent Centenary College on Monday in Farmers Branch.

Earlier this season, UD defeated Dallas Christian on the road in 57-46 fashion. It was a back-and-forth battle but Dallas used a big second quarter (17-10) to gain an eight-point halftime lead. Dallas Christian scored all 10 of its third quarter points within the final 12 points of the frame to create a tight fourth quarter. Never able to get within fewer than four points, UD closed on a 7-0 run in the last 3:25 of regulation.

Stoia led all scorers with 23 points and tied a game-high 13 boards. DeCoud also registered 13 off the glass. Tonry posted 10 points and is still only other contest behind her season-high of 12 versus Hendrix College to eclipse double figures in 2016-17.

Last year, Dallas prevailed in the home meeting 68-38. Stoia also earned 23 points in that victory.
