OPENING TIP

The University of Dallas women's basketball team makes a road trip to Austin College on Friday and then Centenary College on Saturday. Respective tip-off times are slated at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m. Dallas is 7-6 overall and 0-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play.

The most recent outing for the Crusaders was a 72-66 setback at home versus Texas Lutheran University on Sunday. The Crusaders have dropped their past three straight games (season-long) with two coming in overtime.

UD NOTES

- Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) maintains a narrow edge in the team lead for points (188) and points-per-game (ppg) at a 14.5-clip. The forward slots 5th in the SCAC for field goal percentage (48.4).

- Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) is right behind Stoia in scoring with 185 points and 14.2 ppg. The forward has recorded six double-doubles this season and eclipsed double-digit scoring in her last four contests in a row. Two of those were double-doubles with 11 rebounds apiece in such games.

- DeCoud has been strong on the boards for the squad all season, averaging 10.8 per game to lead the SCAC and rank 4th in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). DeCoud also leads the conference in blocks with 34. That mark easily has set a personal best.

- Stoia also just surpassed the 100-rebound plateau with 102.

- Sammi Tso (Las Vegas, Nev.) has combined for 40 points in two league games this past weekend with 23 and 17, respectively. Both counted for team-highs and her 23 on Friday against Southwestern marked her 3rd time to set a career-high this campaign.

- Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) remains a force in passing with 61 to slot atop the SCAC.
