OPENING TIP

The University of Dallas women's basketball team (6-1) is riding its longest winning streak since 2013-14 and hasn't dropped a contest since the season opener. Dallas took a week off for finals and resume action at Colorado College to begin Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play. The Crusaders tip-off on Friday at 5:30 p.m. MST (6:30 p.m. CST).

On Sunday there has been a TIME CHANGE, Dallas returns to the Maher Center, where it is 3-0, to take on Hendrix College at 2 p.m. (originally scheduled at 5 p.m.).

The Crusaders have won their past six games, and are coming off a 57-46 victory at Dallas Christian College. Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) led all scorers with 23 points and tied Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) with a game-high 13 rebounds.

UD NOTABLES

- Dallas enters the weekend in 2nd place in the SCAC, only behind unbeaten (7-0) Trinity University.

- The Crusaders rank first in scoring defense in the league (49.1). Five-of-Six wins this season, UD opponents have scored 50 points or less. This includes last four triumphs.

- Stoia earned SCAC and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Players of the Week.

- Stoia leads the team and is ranked third in SCAC for points-per-game (ppg) with a 16.4-clip. She also is second in SCAC (3rd in USCAA) for three-point field goal percentage at a 47.1-mark.

- DeCoud is the leader on the squad in rebounds with 80. Her 11.4 boards a game rank atop the SCAC and third in USCAA.

- Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) boast the most assists with 36 (6.0 average) and has five or more in the past quartet of games.

- Dallas is looking to improve on its 3-8 record against SCAC foes last year. The team was selected 6th in the preseason coaches' poll.

UD SEASON STATS

SCOUTING THE TIGERS

Colorado College (1-8) has fallen in its past six games and is 0-3 at the Reid Arena this campaign. The Tigers are coming off a road loss at Johnson and Wales University on Tuesday. The final score was 65-47 and Casey Torbet led CC in scoring (16 points), tied team-high in boards (8), and assists (4).

Torbet is the lone Tiger averaging double figures with 11.2 ppg and has accumulated 101 points. Christina Bowman is averaging 7.7 points and Jordan Meltzer has contributed a 6.0 average. It has been a group effort garnering 338 rebounds altogether, as eight players have surpassed 20 apiece. Leading the group are Kali Place and Nia Duplain with 37 each. Torbet has dished 22 assists and made 17 steals to pace the squad in those categories, as well.

Colorado College Season Stats

Dallas is 13-9 in the all-time series versus the Tigers. A one-point setback (68-67) in the most recent outing last year at Colorado Springs snapped a seven-game winning streak in head-to-head meetings. The Crusaders were led offensively by Tonry with 18 points and five assists. Helen Onyenso (Oak Park, Ill.) grabbed eight rebounds.

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS

Hendrix (4-4) prepares for the second game against the Crusaders this season. It is the lone blemish on UD's schedule after the Warriors won their home opener 64-48 in November. Hendrix has struggled against SCAC foes, going 2-4 overall. This includes the most recent pair of setbacks to Trinity University (69-56) and Texas Lutheran University (52-44) the first weekend of the month.

Two players are averaging above double-digits in scoring with Sara Dyslin (16.8) and Madison Martin (11.3). Martin has started all eight games this season and is the leader in points with 90. Heather Prowse has contributed 9.6 ppg. The top trio of scorers are also within the same spots for rebounding. Martin boasts a team-high 72, and Dyslin is right behind with 63 in five contests for a 12.6 average. Prowse rounds out the unit with 53, but boasts a team-high 26 on the offensive glass.

Hendrix College Season Stats

These squads met earlier this year, and UD is looking to avenge its lone setback of the campaign. In the previous contest Dyslin did not play and Leigh James produced a team-high 18 points (4-of-5 3FGM-A). Hailey Bode and Martin added 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Crusaders received a double-double from DeCoud with 16 points and 19 rebounds (season-high). Celsi Caraway (Arlington, Texas) debuted with 15 points in her first collegiate game.

In the latest tip-off in Irving in 2015-16 season, the Crusaders were topped 47-41. Sammi Tso (Las Vegas, Nev.) was lone UD player above double-digits with 11 points. Dyslin had a team-high 14 and Prowse chipped in nine.
