FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – The University of Dallas women's basketball team (4-8) ended a four-game losing streak, and picked up its first road win of the season on Wednesday evening at Dallas Christian College. The final score favored the Lady Crusades 74-48, as they totaled a season-high in points and field goals made with 28.

Sophomore Michelle DeCoud (Monument, Colo.) punched the first points on the scoreboard with a jumper on the right-side block. After DCC's Shu'von Vaughn tied things on field goal, the guests from Irving, Texas, would take the lead for the remainder of the contest with the next five points in a row. Destiny Flanders for the home Crusaders connected on a three-pointer to nip the deficit to a pair (7-5) with 6:39 in the first quarter, but UD shifted the momentum from there.

Junior Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) got a 10-0 run rolling with five of her eight-straight Crusader points. Classmate Sammi Tso (Las Vegas, Nev.) would sink the other half of the scoring stretch, including the first of two trifectas in the game to lift Dallas up 17-5. After Dallas Christian ended the streak on a jumper, five more points would propel the guests to a 15-point edge (22-7) with 2:06 in the first. Junior Caitlyn Worry (Lumberton, Texas) hit a trey to cap the largest lead of the time.

In the second quarter, UD would match its scoring output from the previous frame of 22. This catapulted the Lady Crusaders to a comfortable 44-22 advantage at intermission. The early part of the second stanza was back-and-forth until the Navy and White caught fire and the gap ballooned to the largest in the game at 29. Dallas closed out the fourth quarter solidly to secure its second triumph over the Crusaders this season.
