Women's Basketball unable to Overcome slow start Friday

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Dallas women's basketball team (0-2) were defeated 66-53 by Chapman University (1-0) in the "Redland's Tournament" on Friday on the campus of University of Redlands. Slow starts in the first two quarters were too large of a deficit for the Lady Crusaders to overcome.

In the next frame, Chapman would push the momentum further by leading by as many as 18 with 5:41 minutes until halftime. The Lady Crusaders cut the margin to 30-17 off a three-pointer from junior Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.). UD was still down 41-27 at intermission as the Panthers countered in the following possessions.
