Dallas Women Manhandle Banana Slugs

The Lady Crusaders poured salt on the Banana Slugs through pressure defense, forcing 26 turnovers to their 8. A triumvirate of players combined offensively to lead UD sprinting past the Banana Slugs 78-67. In a high scoring second half Dallas posted 44 points on 52% shooting from the field.

Junior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, TX/Marcus H.S.) contributed 19 points, sophomore guard Brielle Money (Dallas, TX/Dallas Christian Academy) pitched in 18, and freshman point guard Kylie Yoshimura (Temple City, CA/Mark Keppel H.S.) added 17 more to combine for 54 points. Sczepanski also led the team in rebounds with 12, giving her her eighth double double of the year. Yoshimura led in assists with 5, and tied for the team lead in steals (3) with Money and sophomore guard Kelly Regan (Plano, TX/John Paul II H.S.)

The 8-8 Dallas team has a day off before looking to extend their win streak to four games Sunday when they face off against Chapman University. The contest will take place at the Crusaders home court at 1:00pm.
