SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas softball team lost all three of their conference games against Trinity University this weekend, falling to 5-27 on the year and 0-18 in conference play.

The Crusaders struggled at the plate, putting together just four hits in the three game series.  They put together a solid pitching performance in game one between SunnyDale Thies and Devinne Green.  This went four strong innings, allowing one earned run on four hits.  Greene allowed just one run on one hit in two innings of relief, as Dallas went down 3-0.

Trinity took an early lead in game two, scoring four runs on four hits in the second inning.  Dallas responded in the third and managed to scrape across a run with some small ball, but the Tigers tacked on three more in the bottom half of the frame to go up 7-1.

Dallas fought another run across in the fourth, but could do no more against the Tigers, who pulled away with runs in the fourth and fifth to end game two 10-2 after five innings.

Game three was tight early on, but Trinity slowly and steadily pulled away.  Five runs in the third made it 8-0, and the Crusaders never got a runner past second base as Trinity completed the sweep with the mercy rule win.
