Crusaders Swept by St. Thomas

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas softball team lost their conference matchup against the University of St. Thomas on Sunday.  They fall to 5-24 on the year and 0-15 in conference play.

Dallas 0, St. Thomas 11 (5 Innings)

WP: Bailey Tisdale (13-1)

LP: Sara Hey (0-1)

The already light Dallas roster had to manage injuries in this game, particularly to their pitching staff, leading to Sara Hey making her first ever pitching appearance in her final collegiate home game.  She nearly got through the first inning having allowed a single unearned run, but a disastrous play on a bases loaded single with two outs saw the Celts clear the bases thanks to two errors by UD.  St. Thomas added three more runs before the inning was over to jump out to an 8-0 lead.

The Celts offense was slowed to a crawl when SunnyDale Thies took the mound, and Devinne Green after her, but St. Thomas managed to pad their lead with runs in the third, fourth, and fifth to go up 11-0.  The Crusaders couldn't cut into the deficit, finding themselves on the wrong end of a no-hitter as St. Thomas completed the sweep.
