UD's best scoring chance came in the first inning as the Crusaders loaded the bases with off out off a double by Madison Coutts, a single by Jennifer Schmalz, and a walk by Annabel Anderson.  However, Karina Campo then struck out and Bri Hale flew out to center to end the threat.

In the bottom of the first inning, Schreiner started things off with lead off walk Marley Carrizales followed by a two run homer by Danielle Pedraza to take a 2-0 lead.  The Mountaineers then loaded the bases with one out off a walk, a single, and a hit batsman.  Schreiner then scored their next two and final runs of the game off an error by third baseman Trinity Aguero.  Dallas then prevented another run from coming as Marisa Hernandez was thrown out at home on a fielder's choice that was scored third to second to catcher.

The Crusaders would put two runners in three of the next six innings.  After the first, the best chance UD had to score was in the sixth as Bri Hale reached third and Lizette Sosa reached second with two outs.  However, the inning ended with no runs as Emily Luna popped out to first for the third out.

With the loss, UD's record moves to 5-28 (2-12) while Schreiner moves to 12-22 (8-6).  Dallas continues their season with their final home series of the year against Texas Lutheran University on Thursday April 14 and Friday April 15 at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.  Game times are Central.
