Crusaders Downed by Celts

HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Dallas softball team lost their conference matchup with St. Thomas on Sunday.  They fall to 3-15 on the year and 2-4 in conference play.

Dallas 0, St. Thomas 5

WP: Lindsey Longuet (6-2)

LP: Karina Campo (2-6)

The Crusaders threatened early in the game, getting runners on first and second with two outs in the first.  But the rally was snuffed out before any damage could be done, and the Celts would instead take the lead with a run in the bottom of the inning.  St. Thomas made it 3-1 with two runs in the third, all of their runs being unearned up to this point.

The first earned runs of the game came in the fourth inning, with the Celts extending their lead to five with two runs on three hits.  Baserunners were few and far between for the Crusaders.  They were held to just two hits and never got runner past second base.

Karina Campo went the full six innings for the Crusaders, allowing two earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
