Weekend Contests Fall Prey to Foul Weather

IRVING, Texas - This weeks inclement weather has brought on a slew of schedule changes for the Crusaders, with men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and softball all being affected by the icy weather.

Saturday is now completely void of any athletic events.  Men's lacrosse was originally scheduled to be on the road facing Hendrix College tomorrow, but the ice and snow on the field has yet to melt in Conway, Arkansas and has been deemed unplayable.  The status of the match is subject to change; both sides are keen on finding a suitable makeup date, but one has been decided as of yet.  The women's lacrosse team was also scheduled to play Hendrix College on Sunday, and was similarly cancelled due to the icy conditions of the field.  A firm date has not been decided on, but the match is set to be rescheduled for the first weekend of April.

Softball was set to play a single game with Simpson College at 4:00pm on Saturday, but with temperatures at or near freezing and rain set to soak the field, that game has been pushed to Sunday.  The Crusaders will now play a Sunday double-header with Simpson, with game one set for a 1:00 p.m. start time.  First pitch may be delayed, as Simpson will be playing Austin College in a neutral contest on the Crusaders' diamond at 11:00 a.m.
