IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas athletics department celebrated its sixth annual end of the year banquet on Sunday, May 5, at the Hagger University Center. Each coach from the 15 NCAA affiliated programs took a moment to speak on behalf of their program, as well as recognize those that received postseason achievements highlighted by each team’s Most Valuable Player (Listed at bottom).

Paige Rasmussen of University of Dallas is the USCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week. Rasmussen took the mound three times in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament this past weekend. Making her first start in over a month Rasmussen pitched a complete seven-inning game over the fourth-seeded Schreiner University. Her outing helped the Crusaders from Dallas earn the upset and snap a six game losing streak in the tournament dating back to 2016. She was named to the all-tournament team for her performances.

SHREVEPORT, La. – At the conclusion of the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Softball Tournament on Sunday, the league announced the SCAC All-Tournament Team. University of Dallas softball pitcher Paige Rasmussen (El Campo, Texas) was one of three pitchers selected to the group of honorees.

SHREVEPORT, La. – After being held to no runs in the first 11 innings of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament, the sixth-seeded University of Dallas softball team tallied seven in the last three innings of regulation to upset fourth-seeded Schreiner University in the first elimination game on Saturday.

SHREVEPORT, La. – It was another wild finish for the No. 6 Seed University of Dallas softball team, who came up a run short for the second day in a row to the No. 3 Seed Centenary College in a 9-8 final. After a pitcher’s duel in Friday’s first matchup that resulted in a walk-off in the seventh, Saturday’s contest featured three ties and two lead changes.

SHREVEPORT, La. – The No. 6 Seed University of Dallas softball team traded zeros through the first six innings with the host and No. 3 Seed Centenary College on Friday afternoon of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Tournament. The second game of the day was a thriller, as UD threatened to pull the first upset of the tournament. However, the Ladies would walk-off in the seventh on an RBI-single by Becca McGough to advance.

SHREVEPORT, La. – On Friday, April 26, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the 2019 All-Conference Softball team. Julie Duenas (Houston, Texas) was named to the All-SCAC Second Team for third base. Caitlyn Stevenson (Henderson, Nev.) received the nod for Honorable Mention.

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team fell to No. 23 Southwestern University in a doubleheader on Saturday, as the host team finished off a four-game sweep in conference play. It also concluded the regular season for both sides.
