Kotlar achieves USCAA Softball National All-Academic List 3rd Straight Year

NORFOLK, Va. – For the third consecutive season, Allison Kotlar (Edna, Texas) earned a spot on the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Softball National All-Academic Team. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Kotlar is the second player from the softball program to have earned this USCAA Honor. Jessica Mollner was the other player to have been named. Both Crusaders do share the feat of having been named three consecutive years as Mollner was 2010-12 and Kotlar 2015-17.

Kotlar started all 39 appearances she made this season. The four-year letterwinner achieved the program record for games played all-time with 153. The outfielder was voted by her teammates as Defensive Player of the Year. She hit .280 and logged 33 hits which was third on the squad. Kotlar added three doubles, a triple, scored 18 runs, and drove in 10 runners. Her eight steals contributed to the team's triple-digit amount (107) for consecutive campaigns.
