Dallas Softball Shutsout Blue Jays 2-0

In a game that lasted only 5 innings due to a monsoon, UD Softball shut out visiting Tabor College 2-0.  The Blue Jays were limited to just 3 hits and a walk through 5 innings by sophomore pitcher Liana Reveles (Austin, TX/James Bowie H.S.).  Reveles, who improved to 9-4 on the season with the win, recorded 9 strikeouts and a complete game shutout in the short outing.

Reveles' effort was supported by timely hits from freshman infielder Brittany Castro (Houston, TX/Langham Creek H.S.), sophomore infielder Rebecca Burns (River Ridge, LA/John Curtis Christian), and a triple from senior center fielder Amber Adams (Dallas, TX/Dallas Christian H.S.), her second of the year.  Burns, and junior outfielder Jesse Allen (Madison, MS/St. Andrew's Episcopal) each provided the runs, and Allen and Castro stole their team leading eighth and ninth bases.

The Crusaders will resume action on Saturday, March 27 when they are scheduled to visit Trinity University in San Antonio, TX for a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
