Crusaders Run in First 8K of 2019 Season at Muthama-Rogers Invite

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. – The University of Dallas men's cross country team had several freshmen debut in the first 8k on the season with the Muthama-Rogers Invite. Thomas Lagarde (Lindon, Va.) led the squad with a 27:57.7 time for ninth place.

Andrew Maal (Pueblo West, Colo.) and Stephen Brennan (Tulsa, Okla.) were the next fastest times for UD with respective displays 32:07 and 32:34.6. Caleb Clayton (Kerrville, Texas) and Nick Wallisch (St. Paul, Minn.) were other runners to debut in the 8k at UD and finished with times of 33:28.5 and 34:57.8.

The Crusaders garnered 136 points and claimed seventh place.

Ottawa University won with 40 points. Kansas Wesleyan followed with 58 points and Dodge City Community College finished the top three team places out with a score of 69. Dallas competed in a field against NAIA scholarship and NJCAA Division I scholarship.
