Men's Cross Country earns 2nd at Ozarks Cross Country Invitational

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – The University of Dallas men's cross country team captured second place at the Ozarks Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. Dallas netted 47 points and averaged a time of 31:19. Host school University of the Ozarks prevailed with 29 points. Williams Baptist University rounded out the top three with 58.

Joseph Kilmer (Rockville, Md.) remains the fastest runner for Dallas since he made his debut in 2017. Kilmer paced the group again with a 28:51.1 in the 8k for a third place finish. John James (Metairie, La.) cracked into the top-10 with a fifth place finish of 29:49.1.

Andrew Maal (Pueblo West, Colo.) ran a season-best 31:39.9 with an 11th place finish and scored in the 10th place slot. Elijah Depew (Grove City, Pa.) was the fourth fastest time on the team with a 32:11.2, and two places behind Maal. Ty Moran (Sallisaw, Okla.) rounded out the top five scores on Dallas with a 34:19.6.

Peter Hedlesky (Florissant, Mo.) timed a season-best 36:23.6, while Jonah Costello (Anchorage, Alaska) ran a personal record 36:50.9.

Nick Wallisch (St. Paul, Minn.) debuted this fall, but raced a 3 mile and therefore didn't register an official time.
