@UofDallas Men's Cross Country runs to Fourth Place in Texas-Arlington Invite
ARLINGTON, Texas - The University of Dallas men's cross country team jaunted to a fourth-place finish in the University of Texas-Arlington Gerald Richey Cross Country Invite on Saturday morning.
Junior runner Ryan McAnany (Kansas City, Kan.) led the Crusaders with a school-record time of 16:17.7 in the 5k race to take 13th in the college division.
His fellow classmate Javier Secaira (Tacoma, Wash.) turned in a time of 17:16.5, which was good enough for 33rd overall.
Gabriel Marasigan (Orange County, Calif.), Aaron French (Siren, Wis.) and Matt Klem (Livermore, Calif.) rounded-out the top five for first-year head coach Matt Barber.
Isaac Lalang of Texas Wesleyan University outperformed the entire field. The freshman carded a time of 15:32.8 to the tune of a 4:59-per-mile pace.
Oklahoma Baptist University took the first-place hardware as a team. Dallas was also bested by Texas Wesleyan University (second), and Dallas Baptist University (third). The navy and white defeated Jarvis Christian University (fifth), and Austin College (sixth).
