The University Of Dallas Cross Country Invitational results are In

On Saturday, Oct. 9, the University of Dallas played host to the UD Cross Country Invitational, which entailed a men's 8K race, and a women's 6K. 

Individually, UD freshman Clement O'Reilly (Front Royal, VA/Warren County H.S.) placed fourth overall with his time of 29:26:32. The winner, HSU's Gabriel Ghioca, posted a time of 26:59:49 -- a new UD Invitational record.

On the women's side, the Crusaders turned in a first place finish, with Mary Jones (Oneida, WI/Notre Dame Academy), Laura Redlinger (San Diego, CA/Patrick Henry H.S.), Heather Capozzella (Enid, OK/Enid H.S.), and Cathrine Podegracz each besting the 28-minute mark. 

Jones headlined for UD, crossing the finish line at 26:57:80, which earned the freshman a second place finish. She was roughly 40 seconds behind LeTourneau's Nicole Leman, who won the event.
